Fixture Focus - Spurs (2 October 2008)

Wisla Krakow vs Spurs (UEFA Cup, 1st Round, 2nd Leg)

This is the beginning of the "do or die" series of matches for Juande Ramos.  Spurs hold a slim 2-1 lead coming into this away fixture.  All it takes is a 1-0 win for Wisla Krakow and they will advance.

And IF this happens, I think Ramos will be fired.

But Ramos is clearly a cup-competition specialist so perhaps he will pull a rabbit out of his bag and ensure that Spurs qualify for the group stages of this competition.  The team has weathered so much since the start of the season and fans like me are cautiously hopeful that we start winning again tonight.  Ledley King is slated to start while Gareth Bale has a late fitness test.  Up front, it is likely to be Bent as Pavlyuchenko is cup-tied and probably Frazier Campbell on the bench.  The lack of attacking options scares me as this will be a close game I assure you.

COYS!!!
