Fixture Focus - Spurs (29 Nov 2015)

Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea FC

Yet another London derby awaits us, this time the west siders would be visiting White Hart Lane.

The Lilywhites would be making another attempt to stretch their unbeaten run in the EPL. However, some of the Spurs squad members had just returned on a long flight from the midweek game against Qarabag. Rose, Walker and Dembele are set to start as they did not travel for the Europa match.

Mourinho's Chelsea, although near the relegation zone, is still a force to be reckoned with. It is believed that there will be a turn around for them, question is when. Falcao is out for this game and Terry remained doubtful.

This is the third London derby, and as usual for the previous two, expect some excitement for this game.

Weekend Review - 28 Nov 2015

Leicester City vs Manchester United

A goalless draw against PSV and now we are either on the brink of getting knockout to Europa League or to the Champions League knockout stages. Why Man Utd always have to make it so difficult?

We will have our top of the table clash with Leicester City. Hot shot striker Jamie Vardy will need to score 1 more goal to overtake Ruud van Nistelrooy's record of 10 goals for successive matches. Somehow I feel that the record will not be broken.

Man Utd is giving 0.25 handicap. No punt for this match.

Fixture Focus–Spurs (Europa, 26 November 2015)

 

FC Qarabag vs Tottenham Hotspur

 

Coming off one of the best performances at the Lane this season, the lads will travel to Azebaijan for this group match.

 

Starters that have not travelled include Dembele, Walker and Rose while the likes of Eriksen, Kane and Lloris were included. With an important match against Chelsea on the weekend, I expect that the gaffer will field a mixture of starters and 2nd stringers to keep everyone fresh. Dele Alli will play as he will be suspended for Sunday’s league match.  I predict a tough fought match ending in a score draw.

Midweek Review - 25 Nov 2015

Manchester United vs PSV

A last minute goal against Watford enhanced our standing to 2nd, after Man City and Arsenal suffer losses. Surprise leader at the moment is Leicester, a super dark horse that could break the momentum of the usual suspects. We should have it every season so that the Premier League is truly the best league of the world.

Anyway, we will have a top of the table clash with Leicester. Let see if they are truly title contenders or just a party popper along the way.

We will have PSV visiting us in the Champions League and we are just one win away to qualify for the knockout stages. I believe we can get the job done since we are undefeated at home while PSV is winless on the road.

Man Utd is giving 1 ball handicap. So long Man Utd score the solitary goal, keep a clean sheet, our target is met. No punt.

KingMeng continues to hold on to a tenuous lead after a week's break, while the other 5 runners-up undergo a minor reshuffling. Another by-the-numbers result where everyone correctly predicted a Spurs win.

Fixture Focus - Spurs (22 Nov 2015)

Tottenham Hotspur vs West Ham United FC

Another London derby, this time we are up against our eastern neighbours West Ham United.

Spurs are really marching on with an impressive league form - 11 games unbeaten so far. Pochettino has only a few short term injury worries, so there is still some depth in team selection, although Lamela is suspended from this game.

West Ham has been inconsistent against the lower teams, but they sure know how to knock out the big guns like Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea. 

A London battle between the 5th and 6th placings on the Premier League. This is a match not to be missed.

Weekend Review - 21 Nov 2015

Watford vs Manchester United

Last 2 weeks that we have our international break, is an emotional filled event as we witness how terrorists bomb Paris and killed 129 people, it was also the day that France played host to Germany in a friendly match. Matches still carry on after that, with England sing the French anthem with France in unity.

Back to domestic action, we wont have Rooney (yay!) and Anthony Martial (nah!) for the coming back against Watford. We could go to the top of the standings for a few hours if we win as our match is lunch time kick off.

Man Utd is giving 0.5 handicap. With no (fit) striker to call upon, it could be another boring draw. No punt.

Fixture Focus - Spurs (8 Nov 2015)

Arsenal FC vas Tottenham Hotspur

The big North London showdown is here, and it is happening later this evening.

Spurs are on a roll, with a string of League and European victories at its wake, and we hope it will continue along with this game. With no short term injuries in the player list, Pochettino will be capitalising on having the best team selection.

Arsenal is facing an injury crisis, with first line players Wilshere, Ramsey, Walcott and Rosicky out of contention. Level on points with Manchester City and Leicester, Arsenal will want to up the ante in getting ahead in the table.

An exciting game awaits, for both the teams and their respective fans.

Weekend Review - 7 Nov 2015

Manchester United vs West Brom

We finally end our goal drought and the goal scorer is none other than Wayne Rooney. We also top the group and on course to qualify for the knockout rounds.

Another home game against West Brom, we need to do some catching up with the current leaders - Manchester City. 4 points behind them, with Arsenal and Leicester City in between.

Man Utd is giving 1.5 handicap. With only 15 goals scored from 11 games, I dont think Man Utd will clear the handicap. No punt.

Midweek Review - 4 Nov 2015

Manchester United vs CSKA Moscow

A disappointing draw against Crystal Palace where our strikers are firing blanks again. We have gone 325 minutes of not finding the net. We could have even lost the match if not the heroics of David De Gea. We need to drop Wayne Rooney for goodness sake.

We will have CSKA Moscow visiting us for the 4th match of the Champions League. With 4 points level with CSKA Moscow, leaders Wolfsburg on 6 points and PSV on 3 points, it is a tight group where any 2 teams can qualify for the knockout round.

Man Utd is giving 1 ball. As long Rooney name is in the starting eleven, we have every doubt on Man Utd clearing this handicap.

Results - EPL Prediction League Match Weekend 31 Oct - 1 Nov 2015

Apparently, Everton's win against Sunderland was a no-brainer as EVERYONE (except absent Bedokian) who predicted got the correct outcome. The only thing that was surprising was the scoreline. KingMeng manages to wrest the top spot this week thanks to a goal bonus from the Chelsea-Liverpool game.

Congratulations to both redherring and myself for being the only 6-pointers this week and heaving ourselves slightly upward:P
