Fixture Focus–Spurs (EPL, 10 Nov 2010)

Tottenham Hotspur vs Sunderland

We got another tricky tie this midweek and it is anyone’s guess if we can repeat the euphoria the last time we played at the Lane against Inter Milan.

Sunderland has either lost or drawn their last 3 away matches and with Darren Bent doubtful due to injury, all eyes will be on Asamoah Gyan as he showed his scoring prowess over the weekend against Stoke.

As for Spurs, we are still without many of our starters and midfield maestro Rafael van der Vaart remains doubtful.  How much will the defeat at the Reebok over the weekend linger in the minds of the players remains to be seen.  For some reason, I feel Spurs seem to come out of the blocks running in big games only.  Let it be known that finishing well in the Premier League is of paramount importance and we need to pick up points quickly before the Top 4 positions become cemented for the season.  So I am hoping that Harry and his coaches tinker with the line up and get the boys riled up before the start of this tie.

COYS!!!
