Fixture Focus - Spurs (2 May 2012)

Bolton Wanderers vs Tottenham Hotspur

After the victorious (one-sided) game with Blackburn, we are facing yet another relegation-threatened team – Bolton Wanderers – at the Reebok Stadium. Both teams are playing their games-in-hand for different reasons – 1 for a shot back to Champions League contention and the other for getting out of the dreaded zone.

With Hodgson confirmed as the new England manager, there is no distraction on the part of Redknapp now, and the next question would be, who would he choose for the game tonight? I guess he would want to remain status quo for this game, even though he was blasted for his lack of squad rotation. Lennon, Saha and Parker are still doubtful and may require late fitness tests.

Bolton also have problems of their own with their regular midfielder Reo-Coker doubtful, and Pratley and Steinsson  out of selection. Their talisman (and our nemesis) K Davies is likely to start. Sitting at 18th place at the moment, Coyle would definitely want to make this count to bring them out of the relegation zone and survival.

The Reebok Stadium is not a happy hunting ground for us, and coupled with the fact that we had yet to win an away game this year, statistics are turning against us for this game.

Still, expect an explosive match. COYS!!!!!
