Stoke City vs Tottenham Hotspur
First of all, a great hello to you all from the Bedokian!
After a trying away fixture at Switzerland against the Young Boys, Spurs are going for another away fixture (first of this season) in the Premier League, travelling to the Britannia Stadium against the Potters.
However, our squad is now facing a few injuries to key personnel, notably our strike quartet Defoe, Pavlyuchenko, Keane and our young Mexcian Dos Santos, leaving Crouch as our only fit forward. Also, our main central defender King may be doubtful for this game, along with Bentley.
Stoke at the moment only had key players Jones and Whelan doubtful.
From the looks of our available player list, the pressure to win the first game of the season, and with the upcoming return leg of the Champions League, this is going to be an uphill task.
