Weekend Outlook (22 Oct 2011)

   Manchester United vs Manchester City

It's the weekend of the great Manchester Derby. A result here, while it is still very early in the season, may just be the decider of the title should the two teams are neck and neck at the finish line.

We have had a good result in the ECL earlier in midweek as we notched our first win after a sputtering 2 draws. We rested several key players ahead of this game and with Aldershot after this game in the Carling Cup tournament, we can afford to pen our strongest players on the team sheet today.

Ferdinand is expected to partner Vidic to seal the fortress at the back. Rooney is back onto the pitch in midweek and is expected to start again today. So is Nani on account of his excellent form of late forcing Park to make way for the fantastic Portuguese.

Hargreaves should be expected to make an appearance after so many months but will be in a blue shirt. Tevez is still locked in cold storage which is great news for us. Dzeko will be the man to mark for this weekend's game.

The Asian Handicap for this game is ManUtd to give up 0.5-ball with a decimal odds of 2.15. Strange considering the team receiving the handicap is currently placed on top of the league table ahead of ManUtd. Perhaps the reason being ManCity's dismal record away to the Top 4 and at the same time, ManUtd has been giant killing all the top teams since the Charity Shield with the sole exception of the recent draw against Liverpool.

Despite hundreds of millions of Sterling poured into the team that is finally at the top of the table, everybody still feel that they still lacked a certain something to be a true champion team.

Hence, nobody at ManCity actually believe that they can march into the Old Trafford and walk off with 3 points on Sunday. Not even Mancini himself who is close to going down on his knees and kissing the feet of the great Scotsman.

Verdict for the game? I think ManUtd will seal the 3 points for this game not only because they will play better in the Theatre of Dreams but also ManCity has already gifted the points to the home side even before the kick-off whistle is blown.

Expect a number of goals as ManUtd is not expected to be able to keep a clean sheet on account of ManCity excellent firepower up front.
