Fixture Focus - Spurs (30 Apr 2017)

Tottenham Hotspur vs Arsenal FC

The main feature of this weekend's fixture list will be the famous North London derby; Spurs will be hosting rivals Arsenal at the Lane.

Regardless of the significance of this derby, Pochettino knew this is a must-win especially in the chase for top spot against current league leaders Chelsea.

Arsenal is at a low this season but they still harbour some hopes for at least a top 4 finish should they snatch 3 points.

Another interesting point to note would be that if Spurs win this game, St. Totteringham's Day, an event which happens every year since 1995, would not come for this season.

Weekend Preview - 30 Apr 2017

Manchester United vs Swansea City

It is a one point gained rather than 2 points lost as we have alot of injuries and suspension in the last lap of the season.

Swansea City will visit Old Trafford, fighting against relegation as they are in the final spot with 2 points to safety.

Man Utd is giving 1.25 handicap. Now points are more important and could go into 4th for a couple of hours. Take Man Utd for the win.

Midweek Preview - 27 Apr 2017

Manchester City vs Manchester United

An easy win over Burnley bring us to close 1 point gap between us and Man City.

And now we have to play one game in hand with our neighbours for bragging rights to who will qualify for Champions League and Europa League next season.

Man Utd is eating 0.5 handicap. With their unbeaten run continues, we will get a point from this derby match.

Absolutely no movements in the PPL table this week, after both results bamboozled the majority of predictions. ianrush still leads the two-horse race, with edwinsng and Voxeros trying their darndest to close the gap.   

In any case, congratulations to Bedokian for climbing the Marksmen Board with one exact scoreline, and Everton for being the only other person obtaining 3 points in a barren weekend.

Fixture Focus - Spurs (22 Apr 2017)

Chelsea FC vs Tottenham Hotspur 

(FA Cup Semi Finals)

This game is seen by many as a proxy of the ongoing battle for the EPL title. Both sides will definitely pull no punches in the team selection for this one, even though there is a midweek EPL fixture ahead.

Needless to say, Pochettino will be fielding the first team of Spurs, and names such as Lloris, Vertonghen, Alli, Eriksen, Kane, etc. will be on the team sheet.

And Conte will be fielding his best, too, so expect to see Luiz, Costa, Hazard, etc. in the lineup as well.

This will be an interesting game to watch.

Burnley vs Manchester United

We progressed to the semi-final of the Europa League, but at the expense of injuries to Rojo and Zlatan. We will meet Celta Vigo in the semi-final.

We will now head to Turf Moor to face Burnley where their home form is better than ours.

Man Utd is giving 0.75 handicap. With the strikeforce solely relied on Rashford, I believe they will win the match on a odd-goal.

Manchester United vs Anderlecht

We secured an important win against Chelsea to cut the gap to 4 points for the 4th place Man City with 2 games in hand.

With confidence sky high, we face Anderlecht for the 2nd leg for the quarter-final of the Europa League. Hopefully a convincing win to send us through to the semi-final.

It was an amazing weekend which saw Man Utd dominate Chelsea at Old Trafford to throw the EPL title race mathematically open. Here at the PPL table, ianrush continued to secure a commanding lead that edwinsng may be hard-pressed to overcome as the season draws to a close. Voxeros, on the other hand, is still poised to take over the runner-up spot.

Weekend Preview - 16 Apr 17

Manchester United vs Chelsea

We carried an away goal advantage back for the second leg Europa League against Anderlecht.

And now we have an important match against Chelsea. We need to stop them at their tracks to runaway with the title. Though is a matter of when they will win the title, we also need to win to cement a place at 4th.

We still have 2 games in hand against Man City and Southampton. We are also hoping that Liverpool and Man City will drop points to help us.

Man Utd is having a level ball handicap. No punt since Man Utd home form is quite patchy this season.

Fixture Focus - Spurs (15 Apr 2017)

Tottenham Hotspur vs AFC Bournemouth

Spurs will host Bournemouth in another early kick-off this weekend.

It is glad to see Kane back in action after coming on as a substitute in last week's game against Watford, and to add him back in the potent mix of Alli, Son and Eriksen would make Spurs even more lethal up front. Coupled with the return of Wanyama to aid in the defence, the team should be able to go through this game well.

Bournemouth is 7 points clear of the relegation zone but they needed more points to secure their premiership status. Gosling and Stanislas are doubtful for this fixture but Mings will be back after serving a long period of suspension.

The current league leaders will be watching this game closely.

We will head to Belgium to face Anderlecht in the quarter-final of the Europa League. As the favourite for this competition and able to go back to Champions League, we definitely need the extra motivation.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Watford FC

Spurs will be hosting Watford in an early kick-off this weekend.

After a nail-biting game over the midweek against Swansea, Pochettino knew that the injuries are somewhat taking a slight toll on the team's performance. Furthermore, two of our keepers are doubtful for the game, though either Lloris or Vorm would hope to make it.

Watford are also plagued by injury and doubtful woes, but being relatively safe at mid table, they would be trying to maintain a respectable game against us.

Sunderland vs Manchester United

We are back to sixth after the disappointing draw against Everton. With 9 games left, we have to face 4 top teams mainly Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal and Tottenham. The only way left to go back to Champions League is to win the Europa League

We will head to Stadium of Light to face former manger David Moyes. Stuck at the foot of the table, we need to inflict maximum damage to catch up the leaders.

Man Utd is giving 1.5 handicap. Man Utd away form are better than at home and are still unbeaten. Take Man Utd for the win.

Midweek Preview - 4 Apr 17

Manchester United vs Everton

Another 2 point loss to an undeserving draw to West Brom. Top 4 is out for us considering the remaining games that we have, it is the toughest run in.

The only option left that we had is to win the Europa League and go through the back door route to Champions League.

We will host Everton and having 2 games in hand, we can only take 1 game at a time. Not looking optimistic at the moment.

Man Utd is having 1 ball handicap. With Zlatan Ibrahimovic returning from suspension, I doubt he will able to handle Everton single-handedly. No punt.

We have our second Perfect 10 this season, and the honour goes to Voxeros! Congratulations! He now shares the top of the Marksmen Table with ianrush at 8 games.

The massive haul brings Voxeros within one point of second place, but edwinsng did just enough to maintain his spot. ianrush on the other hand was one point shy of his Perfect 10, and is now 12 points clear at the top. Five players have broken century at this stage.

Fixture Focus - Spurs (1 Apr 2017)

Burnley FC vs Tottenham Hotspur

The EPL resumes its schedule after the international break. Spurs will be travelling away to Turf Moor, home of Burnley FC, for this weekend's fixture.

Pochettino would be without the services of Kane and Rose due to injury. Son, who had played for Korea during the break, would be back in time for this game.

Burnley are close to the relegation zone and had not secured a victory in their last seven EPL games, but Burnley's home form is not to be trifled with.

Expect an exciting clash later on.
