For the late Saturday game, Spurs will be heading to the blue half of Manchester in what will be the (dee) game for the weekend.

Pochettino would be putting in whoever he could to stop the Man City juggernaut, as well as to take more points to move further up the table.

Guardiola's men have been unstoppable this season, inflicting some high scoreline victories. Spurs are the only top side team they have yet met this season.

Watch out for this game.

Tottenham Hotspur vs West Bromwich Albion

It has been a roller coaster week of away games, with a 0-2 defeat to arch rivals Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium over the weekend, followed by a 2-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund at the Westfalenstadion in the midweek. For this Saturday's game, Spurs will host WBA at the Wembley Stadium.

Almost one third through the season, Spurs are at 4th position, with one point difference against 5th-placed Liverpool, 6th-placed Arsenal and 7th-placed Burnley. A very tight and precarious position, which means the Lilywhites have to gain a full 3 points from this one.

For WBA, this would be their first post-Pulis game after he was sacked early in the week. Caretaker manager Megson hopes to turn things around for the club, which sits above the relegation zone, starting with this away game.

Spurs will be hosting Crystal Palace at Wembley Stadium for the Sunday fixture.

With the euphoria of beating the current European champions and advancing to the Champions League Round of 16 during the midweek, Spurs will want to carry out this winning momentum in the league.

The Eagles are still sitting at the bottom of the table, but their recent form during the past 3 weeks is hinting on an improvement with their only win and draw this season against Chelsea and West Ham respectively.

We are entering the second half of the Champions League group stages, now with Real Madrid coming over to Wembley, Spurs' temporary home ground.

Putting behind the loss to Manchester United over the weekend at Old Trafford, Spurs will need to regroup themselves to face one of the giants of European football. Kane, who was sorely missed during Saturday's game, has a high chance in starting this one.

Real Madrid also emerged from a weekend loss at the La Liga, downed 1-2 to Girona. With Barcelona widening the gap above them in the Spanish league, Zidane knew they have to grind a result in England to have a psychological boost.

A win for either side meant automatic entry to the Round of 16, so both sides would want to make this count.

Real Madrid FC vs Tottenham Hotspur

(Champions League Group Stages)

Spurs will be travelling away to the Santiago Bernabeu, home of Spanish giants Real Madrid. The last time these two met competitively was at the 2010/2011 Champions League season.

Pochettino would have a handful as this is a big fixture, and is likely to use big names for this one, though he should be mindful of the upcoming weekend game against Liverpool. Rose is likely to start at the bench but Alli is out due to suspension.

Spurs alumni Bale is out with an injury, so he would not be starting against his old club.

Zidane had mentioned that this is the "first group final", given that both teams have the same points and goal difference. The winning team from this game would be one step closer to the group top spot.

Tottenham Hotspur vs AFC Bournemouth

League action resumes after the international break. For this weekend, Spurs will welcome visitors Bournemouth at the Wembley Stadium.

The Lilywhites are still trying to break the "Wembley Curse" for league games this season. Good thing is Spurs did not suffer any serious injuries to the players after the World Cup qualifications. Kane is expected to lead the charge as he had garnered 6 goals so far in EPL 17/18.

The Cherries are having some injury problems, including defender Smith, midfielder Fraser and striker King. Furthermore they had only won one out of seven games this season, so it will be an uphill battle for them.

APOEL Nicosia vs Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs will be travelling away to the Mediterranean island of Cyprus, where APOEL Nicosia is based.

Pochettino has an absentee crisis in the form of suspensions (Vertonghen and Alli) and illness (Eriksen), along with injuries (Dembele, Wanyama, Rose and Pamela), so the youngsters of the squad such as Winks will have to step up and take on the responsibility. 

APOEL Nicosia have never faced Spurs before in any game, but the Cypriot champions are no stranger to European competitions, so they may prove a worthy opponent to the visitors.

Both teams had their glory in the Champions League, in which they blazed their way to the quarter finals; Spurs in 2010-2011 and APOEL in 2011-2012.

Spurs had finally broken the Wembley duck with a good win over German side Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League match during midweek.

Buoyed with this confidence, the Lilywhites are poised to continue the streak when Swansea come visiting. Son had put up a fine display during the midweek and it is good if he could start off this league match.

Swansea has a few Spurs alumni in the squad who are likely to start, like Routledge, Carroll and Naughton.

The international break is over and the EPL is now back in action. Spurs will be travelling to the blue half of Merseyside to face off Everton, who like us had 1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss so far in the season.

We might be able to see some of the new signings in action today, but at the moment Aurier may not start due to the return of Trippier from injury.

Rooney, despite his brush with the law earlier in the week, is set to start against the visitors. Sigurdsson is also slated to face off against his old club.

The two teams that had met Chelsea in the first two games of the league are now meeting each other.

Kane is looking to break his duck of "not scoring in August" in this game. Spurs has no other short term injury concerns, which means Pochettino would have to whole squad to choose and deploy.

Burnley are off to a good start this season, with 1 win (against Chelsea) and 1 loss, same record as Spurs.

Some trivia - Wembley, Spurs' temporary home ground, has not been kind to their current hosts ever since the win against Chelsea in the League Cup final in 2008. Since then, out of 8 games, Spurs only registered 1 win and 1 draw. Hope Spurs will break this duck as well.

The champions and the runners-up of last season are meeting on Sunday at Wembley Stadium. In case you're wondering about the venue, Wembley will be home to Spurs for this season as White Hart Lane is undergoing extensive works.

Spurs will be without Rose and Lamela. The question of our right back is still lingering after the departure of Walker and the injury of Trippier, though we may have an answer from another Kyle Walker(-Peters) who had performed well in our opener against Newcastle.

Chelsea will be without suspended Cahill and Fabregas, but Hazard and new signing Bakayoko are likely to start. Conte is going to put aside their opening loss to Burnley and concentrate on retaining the title this season.

Welcome to the 2017/2018 English premier League season!

For the first game of the season, the Lilywhites will travel up north to St James' Park, home of Newcastle United, who were back to the Premier League after just 1 season in the Championship. 

Spurs are facing a slight defensive hiccup as Rose and Trippier are injured, but Kane is ready as ever to start off the season, and he is just 1 goal short of 100 for all games.

Newcastle fans are glad to be back at the top tier of English football, and Benitez would deploy striker Gayle, along with new signings Murphy and LeJeune.

The last time these two met was coincidentally at the last day of the 2015/2016 season, when Newcastle was relegated to the Championship despite a 5-1 victory.

Hull City Tigers vs Tottenham Hotspur

The last game of the 16/17 season, Spurs will be travelling away to the KC Stadium, home of Hull City Tigers.

On the league table front, this game would be inconsequential as Hull had already relegated back to the Championship whereas Spurs' 2nd spot is already confirmed. The only thing on Spurs' side would be to solidify Kane's Golden Boot Award for this season, and from Hull's point of view, a game to go off with a big bang.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester United

Congratulations to Chelsea for winning the title of EPL Champions for 2016/2017 season.

This weekend, Spurs will be hosting Manchester United, in what would be the last game at the Lane before its demolition. Next season, Wembley would be our temporary homeground.

Now that the title race is over, Spurs would be concentrating on solidifying the second spot, and all is needed would be 2 points over this and the next 2 matches. Since this would be the last game at North London, the significance of this matchup would be more for nostalgia.

The Red Devils are in the finals of the Europa League. Although they are qualified for Europe next season through their League Cup win, Mourinho would be more interested in the Champions League spot granted to the Europa Cup winners.

The main feature of this weekend's fixture list will be the famous North London derby; Spurs will be hosting rivals Arsenal at the Lane.

Regardless of the significance of this derby, Pochettino knew this is a must-win especially in the chase for top spot against current league leaders Chelsea.

Arsenal is at a low this season but they still harbour some hopes for at least a top 4 finish should they snatch 3 points.

Another interesting point to note would be that if Spurs win this game, St. Totteringham's Day, an event which happens every year since 1995, would not come for this season.

This game is seen by many as a proxy of the ongoing battle for the EPL title. Both sides will definitely pull no punches in the team selection for this one, even though there is a midweek EPL fixture ahead.

Needless to say, Pochettino will be fielding the first team of Spurs, and names such as Lloris, Vertonghen, Alli, Eriksen, Kane, etc. will be on the team sheet.

And Conte will be fielding his best, too, so expect to see Luiz, Costa, Hazard, etc. in the lineup as well.

This will be an interesting game to watch.

Tottenham Hotspur vs AFC Bournemouth

Spurs will host Bournemouth in another early kick-off this weekend.

It is glad to see Kane back in action after coming on as a substitute in last week's game against Watford, and to add him back in the potent mix of Alli, Son and Eriksen would make Spurs even more lethal up front. Coupled with the return of Wanyama to aid in the defence, the team should be able to go through this game well.

Bournemouth is 7 points clear of the relegation zone but they needed more points to secure their premiership status. Gosling and Stanislas are doubtful for this fixture but Mings will be back after serving a long period of suspension.

The current league leaders will be watching this game closely.

Spurs will be hosting Watford in an early kick-off this weekend.

After a nail-biting game over the midweek against Swansea, Pochettino knew that the injuries are somewhat taking a slight toll on the team's performance. Furthermore, two of our keepers are doubtful for the game, though either Lloris or Vorm would hope to make it.

Watford are also plagued by injury and doubtful woes, but being relatively safe at mid table, they would be trying to maintain a respectable game against us.

Burnley FC vs Tottenham Hotspur

The EPL resumes its schedule after the international break. Spurs will be travelling away to Turf Moor, home of Burnley FC, for this weekend's fixture.

Pochettino would be without the services of Kane and Rose due to injury. Son, who had played for Korea during the break, would be back in time for this game.

Burnley are close to the relegation zone and had not secured a victory in their last seven EPL games, but Burnley's home form is not to be trifled with.

Expect an exciting clash later on.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Southampton FC

Spurs will be hosting Southampton for this weekend's fixture.

Pochettino will be without the services of Kane, Walker and Rose, who are out injured. Wanyama is doubtful for this one as well, but there is some light at the end of the tunnel with the possible return of Dembele. This means Son, Janssen and Alli would have to carry the torch for the team.

The Saints had almost 2 weeks' worth of rest since they are not involved in the FA Cup, so Puel's men would have plenty of energy to face the Lilywhites.
