This week sees another bumper crop of Marksmen, thanks to Spurs prevailing at home. ianrush takes full advantage of edwinsng's slip and increases his lead to 8 points ahead. Voxeros continues to keep pace, but it is still a two-horse race. There are now 4 players who have broken century, including yours truly.

Congratulations also to ianrush for leading the Marksmen Board with 7 games, while edwinsng, Voxeros, ihawk98, cool402, KingMeng and myself all added a notch to our respective totals.

Fixture Focus - Spurs (19 Mar 2017)

Tottenham Hotspur vs Southampton FC

Spurs will be hosting Southampton for this weekend's fixture.

Pochettino will be without the services of Kane, Walker and Rose, who are out injured. Wanyama is doubtful for this one as well, but there is some light at the end of the tunnel with the possible return of Dembele. This means Son, Janssen and Alli would have to carry the torch for the team.

The Saints had almost 2 weeks' worth of rest since they are not involved in the FA Cup, so Puel's men would have plenty of energy to face the Lilywhites.

Middlesbrough vs Manchester United

We progressed to the quarter final of the Europa League and will face Anderlecht. Now we have a breather as we only have Europa League and Premier League to focus.

We will head to Riverside Stadium to face a managerless Boro as Aitor Karanka got the sack.

Midweek Preview - 16 Mar 17

Manchester United vs Rostov

We have crashed out of the FA Cup quarter final to Chelsea with an unfortunate goal. Now we are left with the Europa League against Rostov and the Premier League. Though the Premier League title is really out of reach with 17 points and 1 game in hand.

We will face Rostov in the second leg and hold an away goal advantage. If we cant finish the league 4th or higher, the Europa League is our only chance and "backdoor" ticket back to the Champions League.

Man Utd is giving 1.75 handicap. Take Man Utd for the win.

Weekend Preview - 14 Mar 2017

Chelsea vs Manchester United

A draw against Rostov and we carry the away goal rule advantage to the 2nd leg. With Zlatan Ibrahimovic suspended against Chelsea in the FA Cup, he will have fresh legs for the 2nd leg.

We will head to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea in the quarter final of the FA Cup. Mourinho is seeking revenge and will need to find a way past Chelsea.

Man Utd is eating 0.5 handicap. I think it could be an entertaining draw.

Fixture Focus - Spurs (12 Mar 2017)

Tottenham Hotspur vs Millwall FC

(FA Cup Quarter Finals)

Spurs will host League One side Millwall for the quarter finals of the FA Cup. The last time these two met was back in the old Division One days in 1990.

With no fixture till the next weekend, we may see Pochettino deploying his entire first team for this game. The chance of a silverware this season could well be from this competition.

Millwall's football run for this year has been so far so good; they are the only team in the EPL-League Two range not to have lost any game in 2017, and they are hoping that this form would continue for this match.

An exciting FA Cup game it will be.

Midweek Review - 9 March 2017

Rostov vs Manchester United

We lost 2 points and now the lead widen once again for not taking the chances. But the silver lining is that we still have a game in hand to overcome the handicap.

We will head to Russia to face Rostov for the Round of 16 game in the Europa League. Zlatan is banned for 3 games for elbowing an opponent in the last league game. So he could be use for both legs against Rostov.

As ianrush continues his reign at the top, edwinsng manages to narrow the gap by 1 point. Voxeros remains in third place despite dropping points to make it a two-horse race at this time. Both ianrush and edwinsng have broken century this PPL season, though ianrush reached that milestone a week earlier.

Fixture Focus - Spurs (5 Mar 2017)

Tottenham Hotspur vs Everton FC

For the Sunday fixture, Spurs will be hosting the blue half of Merseyside, Everton.

The chasing pack for 2nd spot is edging closer, with just 7 points between us and 6th place Manchester United. A win is the only result Spurs could accept in order to widen the gap. Statistics is on our side as Everton had not won at the Lane for a very long time.

Everton has no fresh injury concerns which means Koeman could deploy anyone for this match-up. He would be relying on striker Lukaku to try and break the duck against Spurs in North London.

Expect a good game.

Weekend Preview - 4 March 2017

Manchester United vs Bournemouth

Second silverware of the season where we won the EFL Cup against Southampton. We also overtook Liverpool on the most trophies won at the moment.

We will have a home game against Bournemouth and is in a strong position to jump to 4th position. We are 15 points off the pace against leader Chelsea despite having a game in hand. But we are taking 1 game at a time. After this game, will be another round of fixtures congestion ahead.
