Results - EPL Prediction League Match Weekend 25 - 26 Feb 2017

We have a bumper crop of 4 Marksmen this week, thanks to the draw at the Kingston Communications Stadium. No change to the top three placements, but Voxeros fell further behind edwinsng while ianrush maintains his 6-point gap at the perch.

Congratulations to ianrush as he also leads the Marksmen Table with 6 games. Everton very nearly obtained a Perfect 10 if not for the 4-goal trouncing of Stoke by Tottenham. Both edwinsng and cool402 also added gained another notch under their belt.

Weekend Review - 26 Feb 2017

Manchester United vs Southampton

We win 1-0 at St Etienne and will face Rostov in the next round. However, we will have fixtures congestion again in 2 weeks time as we have to play 6 games with an FA Cup game against Chelsea in midweek out of nowhere. And as such, it annoys Jose Mourinho.

We will have a league cup final against Southampton at Wembley this weekend. We have reach this far and hope the players will deliver.

Man Utd is giving 0.75 handicap. Take Man Utd for the win.

Midweek Preview - 23 Feb 2017

St Etienne vs Manchester United

A hard-fought won against Blackburn sent Man Utd progress to the FA Cup quarter-final and face Chelsea.

We will head to France to face St Etienne for the 2nd leg of the Europa League knockout round. As we need to rest wearily legs and keeping confidence at its peak by not losing the momentum. I believe Mourinho will defend the lead instead of attacking to increase the scoreline which doesnt make any logical sense.

Man Utd giving 0.5 handicap. No punt.

Fixture Focus - Spurs (19 Feb 2017)

Fulham FC vs Tottenham Hotspur

(FA Cup 5th Round)

Spurs will be travelling to Craven Cottage, home of Fulham, for the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Pochettino would be rotating some players for this fixture since there is a return match with Europa opponents Gent coming up in a few days. Expect Janssen, Trippier and Winks to start the game.

Fulham manager Jokanovic could be capitalising on the recent down-form of Spurs and cause an upset.

Weekend Preview - 19 Feb 2017

Blackburn Rovers vs Manchester United

An easy win against St Etienne put one foot in the quarter final. We will now proceed to another cup competition.

We will face Blackburn Rovers, who won the Premier League in 1995 under the strikeforce of Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton. That was the heyday. Now they are currently in the Championship facing a relegation fight. Owen Coyle is currently the manager in charge of Blackburn Rovers. He has a tough fight as he only manage this club for the last 8 months.

Man Utd is giving 1.5 handicap. With squad rotation to keep players fresh, I believe Man Utd will clear the handicap and progress to the next round.

Fixture Focus - Spurs (16 Feb 2017)

KAA Gent vs Tottenham Hotspur

(Europa League Round of 32, 1st Leg)

European action is back for Spurs in the form of the Europa League, with the first game being away to the Belgian side Gent.

Spurs had gone back to Earth with the weekend loss to Liverpool, but it should not be difficult for them to get a lift off again. With no league game until 26 Feb, Pochettino's short term concerns would be the FA Cup game against Fulham this weekend and the second leg of this Europa fixture on 23 Feb. Expect a 70% lineup of first teamers for this game.

Gent has one statistical advantage to its side; Spurs had not won in Belgium before. Still, manager Vanhaezebrouck is not taking any chances and would be treating the visitors seriously.

Manchester United vs St Etienne

We have close the gap on the chasing pack and the leaders by extending our winning to 19 games. We are just 2 points behind 3rd place Tottenham, 4 points behind Man City and 12 points behind leaders Chelsea

We will have all 3 cup games for these 2 weeks with no league games. And we will have St Etienne visiting us for the 1st leg tie of Europa League. Currently we have the confidence, momentum to keep the streak going.

Man Utd is giving 1.5 handicap. I believe Man Utd will kill the game in the first leg. Take Man Utd for the win.

Fixture Focus - Spurs (11 Feb 2017)

Liverpool FC vs Tottenham Hotspur

Deemed as the highlight for this weekend's fixture schedule, Spurs will travel to Anfield, a ground where the Lilywhites seldom win on.

Spurs is maintaining its second position in the table and is in for the running of league champions. Emerging from 5 undefeated league games, Spurs will be pulling no stops in this big matchup. Kane, Son and Alli will be spearheading the attack.

Liverpool is going through a dreadful spell, with no league wins for the past 5 games and being eliminated from the 2 domestic cup competitions. However, Klopp will be relying on his attacking trio of Mane, Coutinho and Firmino to do some damage and salvage some reputation.

Expect an exciting match.

The week after the CNY break shows no signs of ianrush letting go of his grasp on the title, although both Voxeros and edwinsng managed to close the gap a little. Interestingly enough, this has now become a 3-horse race after ihawk98 dropped major points.

In other news, Voxeros notched an accurate prediction to bring his Marksmen Board tally to 4 games. Great job!

Weekend Preview - 5 Feb 2017

Leicester City vs Manchester United

Just when we thought Man Utd could have the chance to go into the top 4, they shoot themselves in the foot by drawing against Hull. And now we have to wait again as we are 4 points trailing Man City and Liverpool.

Even though we are 14 games unbeaten, we still need to make the points count to break into the top 4 stronghold.

We will head to King Power Stadium to face Leicester. They are facing relegation at the moment rather than at the top half of the table after being the surprise winner last season.
