Manchester United vs Middlesbough

Henrikh "The Magician" Mkhitaryan scored a scorpion kick goal against Sunderland and it was a potentially a goal of the season. We will be expecting more magic from this guy.

We will play host to Middlesbough for this last game of the year. We are just 7 points behind 2nd place Liverpool, but 13 points behind leaders Chelsea. However we have a chance to break into the top 4 in the new year.

Man Utd is giving 1.75 handicap. They have another game 48hrs after this game, dont think they will go all out to win, need to conserve energy. No punt.

Fixture Focus - Spurs (29 Dec 2016)

Southampton FC vs Tottenham Hotspur

The next league fixture will see the Saints hosting Spurs at the St Mary’s Stadium.

It was a long break for the Spurs team given that the others had played Game #18 over the past few days. However, Spurs are having another 2 more league games over the next week – away to Watford on 1 Jan and at home against a resurgence Chelsea on 5 Jan.  

Southampton, like Spurs, are also in the same fixture situation as Spurs, but their schedule is much more tighter – at home against WBA on 31 Dec and away to Everton on 2 Jan.

Both managers would have to strategise their approaches on the coming league games over the next few days.

Still, I would think this is a good match to watch.

Mid-week Preview - 26 Dec 2016

Manchester United vs Sunderland

Another win at Hawthorns and we are now among the chasing pack to chase the runaway leader, Chelsea.

We will welcome back an ex-manager to Old Trafford. David Moyes is currently managing Sunderland and there shouldnt be any surprise that they are fighting relegation.

Man Utd is giving 2 ball handicap. With many games to play during the festive season, it wont be a goal rush affair. No punt.

We have our first Perfect 10 of the PPL Season! Congratulations to Mr White for grabbing the maximum haul of 10 valuable points this weekend. He also joins edwinsng at the top of the Marksmen Board with 4 accurate predictions. 

In the meantime, the title chase is now once again opened up to five possible contenders, with ianrush still hanging on to the throne by the slimmest of leads.

Fixture Focus - Spurs (18 Dec 2016)

Tottenham Hotspur vs Burnley FC 

Spurs is hosting Burnley for this Sunday's game.

Spurs are back to winning ways after their win against Hull. Pochettino is likely to assemble the same squad that played during the midweek.

Burnley had performed well so far, though they had lost 4 of their last 5 league games. They would require more wins to consolidate their position in the table.

Second win on the trot but still 13 points behind Chelsea. Need them to drop points at the same time as well.

We will head to Hawthorns to face West Brom under the guidance of Tony Pulis. They are currently in 7th place, 4 points behind us. Quite impressive at the moment.

For this midweek fixture, Spurs will be hosting Hull City.

It is hoped that the defeat at Old Trafford does not dampen the spirits of Spurs. Still at 5th place and 3 points behind 4th-placed Manchester City, Spurs could start its winning ways going into the infamous Christmas Crunch period. For this game, Dembele is out due to an injury picked up during the weekend match.

Hull is second from last and they would probably be hoping that a good result at The Lane would boost the team up. However, this could prove to be difficult as they had lost their last 5 away league matches.

Finally a home league win since 24 Sep, but we are still 13 points behind Chelsea. Hopefully that a start to change things around.

We will head to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace. And we need to continue our strong form at the moment.

Manchester United FC vs Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs is travelling to Old Trafford for a game against the red half of Manchester.

After exiting the Champions League with a bang, it is now back to league business. Up against Manchester United, Spurs will be putting no stops in maintaining the chase against the top 4.

Manchester United progressed into the next round of the Europa League and is hoping that their European form could be translated into the EPL, which had saw them drawing 3 of their last league games.

This would be an interesting match to watch.

We are through to the knockout rounds of the Europa League. But we will only know the opponent on Monday. We will also get Reading in the FA Cup which will be play in the first weekend of new year.

We will have Tottenham visiting us and we need 3 points to catch the leaders. Even if we win, we still in 6th place as even the nearest that we need to catch up is 6 points apart.

Man Utd is giving 0.25 handicap. Maybe, just maybe we need Mkhitaryan's magic.

Fixture Focus - Spurs (7 Dec 2016)

Tottenham Hotspur vs CSKA Moscow

(Champions League Group Stage)

In this last group game, Spurs will be hosting the Russian club at Wembley Stadium. This is also the last Champions League fixture for both sides this season.

There is nothing much to play for in this game, with probably the exception of giving some players play time to chalk up experience. I foresee Pochettino would field a mix of first teamers and youngsters for this one, given that Spurs will have to meet Manchester United away this weekend.

CSKA Moscow, who probably still have the Europa League set in its sights, may try to nick this game and give us straight losses at our adopted home ground.

Spurs could qualify for the Europa League as well provided that they just draw or win the game.

Better luck next Champions League season.

Midweek Preview - 8 Dec 2016

Zorya Luhansk vs Manchester United

2 points lost, rather than 1 point gained from the draw against Everton. And now we are 13points behind Chelsea.

We will head to Ukraine for the final group match in the Europa League. We need to win against Zorya to have a clear passage to the next round.

Man Utd is giving 1.5 handicap. As long they score and win, I dont think we should use the handicap.

Weekend Preview - 4 Dec 2016

Everton vs Manchester United

We are through to the English League Cup semi final after beating West Ham. Still thinking why we cant replicate this form in the premier league. We will face Hull over 2 legs in the semi final.

We will face Everton next. A tricky team that managed by Ronald Koeman. And I have been repeating since we keep losing points is that we need to catch up with the leaders at the top.

Fixture Focus - Spurs (3 Dec 2016)

Tottenham Hotspur vs Swansea City AFC

Spurs will be playing hosts to Swansea for this weekend's fixture.

After suffering the first league defeat, and getting further away from the top 4 league positions, Spurs would have to buck up to get its groove back. The good news from The Lane is Alderweireld could return to this game from an injury, along with Rose after serving his suspension, thus giving our defence a good boost.

Swansea had just emerged from a goal fest that saw them as victors against Crystal Palace last week, so they might continue this form against us.
