Southampton FC vs Tottenham Hotspur
After yet another draw in the Europa League, Spurs is going away again, this time to the southernmost EPL club on Great Britain. The home stadium of Southampton, St Mary's, is not a happy hunting ground for us, for we had not scored there for the last 6 games, and lost there for the last 4 games.
AVB will likely field veteran Friedel back into the starting lineup, and we may see the return of Bale from his paternity leave, ironically back to the ground where he started his career. Dembele is still out, and Adebayor will miss this as well. This means that almost 75% of the squad that played at Slovenia will start again.
The Saints are without Richardson and Cork, the former who took an injury in the game against Fulham last weekend. Winger Fox is rushing for a late fitness test.
After a good but wasted performance against Chelsea, Spurs will hope to put that aside and concentrate on staying within the top echelons of the EPL.
COYS!
