Midweek Review - 2 March 2016

Manchester United vs Watford

Well, now our hero is none other than Marcus Rashford who scored twice and assist one in his debut in the Premier League. He doesnt look raw or inexperienced at all. He took the big stage like a walk in the park. Well done, hope you keep your feet on the ground and keep contributing. In a way, it make LVG job look good now.

We will have another home game against Watford in the midweek. If we win and Man City lose to Liverpool, we will still be fifth due to Man City's goal difference and will have 1 game in hand.

Man Utd is giving 0.75 handicap. If Rashford is given a chance to continue his form, I will take Man Utd to win this match.

Results - EPL Prediction League Match Weekend 27 - 28 Feb 2016

No movement at the top with KingMeng still protecting his slenderest of leads, but Everton now forms part of a four-way race by snatching third-place from Voxeros, whose apparent lack of faith in the Red Devils was punished. But who am I to talk, my faith in the Kop hasn't been exactly rewarding either.

Congratulations also to Mr White and redherring for notching another exact prediction for the Southampton-Chelsea match, and climbing up the Marksman table.

Housekeeping Notes: All of this season's tables will eventually be kept in a Flickr photoset.

Fixture Focus - Spurs (28 Feb 2016)

Tottenham Hotspur vs Swansea City AFC

Spurs is playing hosts to Swansea in the upcoming Sunday kickoff.

Spurs had a good game against Fiorentina during the midweek Europa League game, and as I always said, we have to keep the momentum going. Kane is likely a no show for this one after a broken nose inflicted during the Crystal Palace game. Good news is Lloris will be returning to the line-up.

Swansea is now hovering above the relegation zone and the fact that they are facing 2 North London teams back to back in the league does not bode well for them. The good thing is that they had a break during the FA Cup weekend meant they should be physically and mentally ready for Spurs.

Spurs may be able to clinch the top spot of the standings by the end of this weekend provided that the nearest table rivals Leicester and Arsenal slip up in their games. The dream may become a reality now.

Weekend Review - 28 Feb 2016

Manchester United vs Arsenal

If only Man Utd senior players are able to play as freely as the youngsters in the match against Midtjylland that got us through to the next round of Europa League. The youngsters seem to defy LVG tactics and play that we used to see in Fergie's time. Our next opponent in the next round will be Liverpool.

Our main aim will still be the 4th spot in the EPL, regardless how well Man Utd progress in the FA Cup or the Europa League. Somehow, LVG seem to have alot of breathing space now due to the 2 cup competition that got us this far. We have yet to see that kind of form repeat in the Premier League.

We will have Arsenal visiting us. With 2/3 of the season gone, we are down to the final stretch. Man City and Liverpool will face each other in the League Cup final. Both of us will want to capitalize to either catch Man City or widen the lead to catch Tottenham and Leicester, whichever the camp that you are in.

Man Utd is eating 0.25 handicap. No punt.

Midweek Review - 24 Feb 2016

Manchester United vs Midtjylland

Man Utd actually progressed to the quarter finals of the FA Cup. Scant consolation. They will face West Ham in the next round.

Latest rumors is that once Man Utd's points tally is not enough to catch the 4th spot in EPL, LVG will be dismissed. Why wait till the cows come home? Same situation as David Moyes.

Anyway, they have to overcome Midtjylland in order to progress further in the Europa League.

Man Utd is giving 1.5 handicap. They just need to score 1 goal to go through on away goal rule. No punt.

Fixture Focus - Spurs (21 Feb 2016)

Tottenham Hotspur vs Crystal Palace FC
(FA Cup, 5th Round)

For the 5th round of the FA Cup, Spurs is playing hosts to visitors Crystal Palace.

Spurs, who had just played the Europa game during the midweek, is likely to make some changes to Thursday's lineup with the regular starters, since there is no EPL game until the next weekend. Lloris is out injured so Vorm will take up his space.

Crystal Palace, which has been plagued with injuries recently, are set to welcome some back, at least to the bench. Sako, Bolasie and Ledy are just a few that could possibly feature.

There has been talk about Spurs going for three pieces of silverware this season. However, my humble opinion would be to go one game, one campaign, at a time.

Weekend Review - 21 Feb 2016

Shrewsbury Town vs Manchester United

The loss was expected as there are reports where Rooney mentioned he wont play in Europa League while LVG claimed that Rooney got injury and will be out for 2 months. That is as good as preparing Rooney for Euro 16. Whatever it is, we are at a new low now. When captain and manager are at odds, media is going to have a long field day till LVG is gone or at the end of the season, whichever is earlier.

There are also reports that Jose Mourinho could get hired at the end of Feb. And we wont have another season of European football next season, no matter how optimistic fans are. In the past, teams were afraid to come at us. Now, they know that we are there acting as the bait, and will go at us directly.

Now we will face Shrewsbury Town in the fifth round where if we got knocked out by them, it will be even lower than where we are going at this rate.

Man Utd is giving 1.25 handicap. I think i rather eat it. Sigh, good grief Man Utd.

Midweek Review - 19 Feb 2016

Midtjylland vs Manchester United

We lost to Sunderland where they are fighting against relegation. Have this been during Fergie time, we would have won easily. This show how bad LVG tactics or Man Utd players are at the moment.

We will head to Denmark for Europa League to face Midtjylland. People seem to suggest that if Man Utd wins the Europa League, they can still go to Champions League next season. Who in the right mind will allow England 5 spots in the Champions League next season? The last time it happened, Liverpool won the 2005 Champions League and finished 5th in the EPL. However, they do not have "country protection" as they could face any English club in the Champions League group stages.

Midtjylland is also not a pushover. They dumped out Southampton in the qualifying stage before the group stages. And yes, we are all hoping for Midtjylland to do another miracle.

Man Utd is giving 0.75 handicap. No punt for them.
