Stevenage FC vs Tottenham Hotspur
(FA Cup 5th Round)
(FA Cup 5th Round)
Spurs will be travelling a short distance to League One side Stevenage, our next opponent in our road to Wembley.
Being the favourites to clinch the FA Cup, and a string of difficult league games coming, Redknapp will have to balance his side for this game. Cudicini will be at goal, with Nelsen and Dawson are likely to lead the central defence, and possibly Walker and Rose flanking them. The midfield would likely be staffed with regulars such as Lennon, Parker, Modric and Bale, and lastly Saha and Adebayor up front.
Stevenage's new manager Smith had clearly impressed so far with the team, winning 2 out of 2 games that he managed. With no injury concerns, we may see the likes of ex-gooner Freeman and ex-Spurs keeper Day starting against us.
Since 2006 we had not lost to a lower league side in the FA Cup. Expect this to be a stroll in the park, though it would be a slightly hilly park to begin with.
