Tottenham Hotspur vs QPR
A new manager, a new philosphy, and perhaps a new era!
What a fixture to kick off the new era than having old meet new. The return of ‘arry to the Lane happens this Sunday when he leads his team against Spurs. His first game back at his old stomping ground since June 2012.
Spurs are riding on a renewed confidence with 2 competitive wins on the trot. Last Thursday’s come from behind win against AEL Limassol continues to signal a new philosophy that Porchettino has implemented in the team.
As for team news, I expect new boy Eric Dier to start at right back in the absence of the injured Kyle Walker and suspended Kyle Naughton. This could mean a center back pairing of Kaboul and Vertonghen. It remains to be seen who are the preferred starting 11 but what I like is the attacking philosophy I’ve seen in 2 competitive matches so far. This is testament to the glory days of Bill Nicholson and will endear Porchettino to the fans.
Let’s kick off the season at home with a bang and a W!
COYS!
