Fixture Focus–Spurs (EPL, 11 January 2014)

Tottenham Hotspur vs Crystal Palace
The last time these 2 sides met, Spurs won 1-0 courtesy of a penalty kick by Soldado. The 2 sides were also managed by different managers, with both having been sacked since.
Tony Pulis has injected new life into Palace and I expect the team to be tougher to beat nowadays, just like his Stoke sides of the past.

Our injury list reads like an entire first team squad: Soldado, Lamela, Holtby, Siggs, Paulinho, Townsend, Kaboul, Vertonghen. The fact that we are missing so many will mean that Spurs back line could almost write itself. I fully expect new Toronto FC signing, Jermaine Defoe to be giving the starting nod and he will want to do all he in the last few games he has with Spurs to leave on a high note.

Whatever team we put out, this game is too important to blow because we have some points to make up. It would be a good morale booster and help get rid of the taste last Saturday`s result left behind. Timmy’s honeymoon with Spurs came crashing down at the Emirates and he will now need to prove he has the guile and tactical genius to guide this team to achieve our ambitions for this season.
