Results - EPL Prediction League Match Weekend 25 - 26 November 2017

This weekend saw a bumper crop of marksmen thanks to the result at Selhurst Park. While ihawk98 continued to reign supreme, there was a reshuffling between Mr White and Voxeros for third place which ended in a three-horse race. 

Congratulations to ihawk98, KingMeng, Mr White, edwinsng, ianrush and Bedokian for progressing up the Marksmen Board, with KingMeng and ihawk98 joining Voxeros at the top with 4 games.

Fixture Focus - Spurs (25 Nov 2017)

Tottenham Hotspur vs West Bromwich Albion

It has been a roller coaster week of away games, with a 0-2 defeat to arch rivals Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium over the weekend, followed by a 2-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund at the Westfalenstadion in the midweek. For this Saturday's game, Spurs will host WBA at the Wembley Stadium.

Almost one third through the season, Spurs are at 4th position, with one point difference against 5th-placed Liverpool, 6th-placed Arsenal and 7th-placed Burnley. A very tight and precarious position, which means the Lilywhites have to gain a full 3 points from this one.

For WBA, this would be their first post-Pulis game after he was sacked early in the week. Caretaker manager Megson hopes to turn things around for the club, which sits above the relegation zone, starting with this away game.

No changes to the top 4 as ihawk98 maintains his 6-point gap. However, KingMeng grabbed an extra point to be joint 2nd with Voxeros, but just one goal shy of being our first 10-pointer this season. 

In other news, I finally managed to notch an exact prediction along with KingMeng, so there's that.

Thanks to Bournemouth's last-gasp win over Newcastle, ihawk98 loosened his stranglehold at the top, allowing Voxeros and KingMeng to inch slightly closer. Mr White in the meantime also managed to claw back into contention.

Congratulations to Voxeros for taking the lead in the Marksmen Board with an exact prediction of City's triumph at Etihad, while Mr White, ianrush and edwinsng added to their respective totals as well.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Crystal Palace FC

Spurs will be hosting Crystal Palace at Wembley Stadium for the Sunday fixture.

With the euphoria of beating the current European champions and advancing to the Champions League Round of 16 during the midweek, Spurs will want to carry out this winning momentum in the league.

The Eagles are still sitting at the bottom of the table, but their recent form during the past 3 weeks is hinting on an improvement with their only win and draw this season against Chelsea and West Ham respectively.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Real Madrid FC

(Champions League Group Stages)

We are entering the second half of the Champions League group stages, now with Real Madrid coming over to Wembley, Spurs' temporary home ground.

Putting behind the loss to Manchester United over the weekend at Old Trafford, Spurs will need to regroup themselves to face one of the giants of European football. Kane, who was sorely missed during Saturday's game, has a high chance in starting this one.

Real Madrid also emerged from a weekend loss at the La Liga, downed 1-2 to Girona. With Barcelona widening the gap above them in the Spanish league, Zidane knew they have to grind a result in England to have a psychological boost.

A win for either side meant automatic entry to the Round of 16, so both sides would want to make this count.
