cool402 made a credible challenge with a strong surge towards to end and again during this round but alas, it was too little, too late.

Still with one game to play, the Marksmen Board is still up for grabs with the possibility of cool402 notching the last time to tie 1st place.

The top is showing signs of slowing down as cool402 makes a challenge with a 9-point haul.

Congrats to cool402 for making that last minute change to predict a 0-0 draw between England and Italy at regulation time.

With only 3 matches to go and 15-points up for grabs, it is therefore still mathematically possible for cool402 to win this as the leader right now is only 13 points away from him.

On the other hand, with a 12-point lead over runner-up, edwinsng needs only 4 points from the last remaining 3 games to clinch this tournament.

Looks like edwinsng is running away with this tournament!!

Not much changes in the table as the two matches were pretty no-brainers. What remained was the score line that was pretty tricky. Last night's Germany 4-2 victory over Greece was a goal-fest. Who would have expected that?

One thing is for sure, Greece is definitely getting the economic bail-out from Merkel after this. haha.

Jokes aside, the next 2 quarter-finals will be more tricky as the teams are more evenly matched up. Either just as good or just as terrible during the early rounds. This round forthwith is where we shall see the table getting really shuffled.

Good luck! edwinsng may have a generous lead now, but it is still possible to catch up.

A very surprising round as Russia got dumped out of the tournament despite leading the earlier rounds. Netherlands to perform so badly. Who would have thought of that?

And I suck. OK, we knew that since the start of the EPL season already. Sigh. I think I am bad luck (Go England! Go!). :P

Congrats to edwinsng for leading both tables at this stage. We see cool402 making very good progress climbing the table with 9 points in the last two consecutive rounds.
